A largely undefended Inferno castle should be just on the other side of it. Keep heading east for a second Inferno castle in the northeast corner. From here gather reinforcements if you need to and head down south. The enemy heroes will have quite large armies as well so be careful. Take the remaining 3 towns as you sweep down south.
A nice addition to this very sturdy unit is their 20% resistance to magic. Battle Dwarves are given a slight improvement to their attack, and a huge (at least for them) boost to speed, allowing them to keep up with at least some other units - they can now be used in an offensive manner.

Also, Citadel and Castle (the prerequisites for Capitol) increase your general army's population anyway, so it is not that bad of an investment if you are worried about army strength. Plus it is an almost 100% guarantee protection against enemy players with weaker armies.

A useful unit overall. Tier 5 ( Lamassu) and tier 6 ( Vampire) are where the Necropolis looks lacking. Both use Might-based attack but have unimpressive movement range, so they often stop just short of the target. The Vampires do have the best initiative of your army, and can soak up the counterstrike quite well.
